Scott in Assisi, Italy - March, 2008It all started about 13.8 billion years ago, with the spontaneous expansion of a single point called the "big bang."

But seriously, I have been an Instructor at Santa Barbara City College since Fall of 1996. I my tenure, I have taught Dreamweaver and Web Design 1. I have held the position of Webmaster for the City of Santa Barbara since 1999, when the City Council first created the position. I started designing web sites in 1994, with my own personal site.

Prior to my affair with the Internet, my mistress was digital music. I still remember the day in 1985 when the manager of the music store came in and said, "You can hookup a keyboard to this…" and put down on the table an IBM PC/XT computer. From that point, I knew it was for me. I pioneered a music software distribution company called Imagine Computers and Software. I appeared as guest speakers at international musical instrument and computer trade shows. When the company was moved by an investor to Brea, California, I left the company and purchased Castle Music of Santa Barbara, with a friend and former associate.

I first started computer programming as part of my Physics emphasis at the University of California at Santa Barbara in the early 1980's. I have some skill in Machine, Assembly, and Fortran. Subsequently I have pickup up, like a bad virus, JavaScript, Perl, VB Script, VB.NET and C#.
