The first website you created was to show you that you can create easily create a site. Now that you are learning more about design, I hope that you are realizing that the first site you made using a website builder is not necessarily the best site that could be made in terms of aesthetics, UX and planning.

With your new found knowledge and skills, you now have a chance to design the site exactly how it should be designed, without the limitations of the website builders.

For the next 2 weeks, you will be building and revising a set of mockups that you will custom build to communicate the intent of your site (based on your goals) and to express the content of your site. This will culminate in your next project which will be a set of 2 different responsive designs that you would, in a real-life situation, present to a client for approval. In this case, I happen to be the client who will choose which one I like best. This will then be used to develop your final project with.

1. complete the following tutorials as many times as needed.
   • Photoshop Website Design Tutorials
   • Portfolio Website Design In Photoshop
   • Free PSD Website Design Templates
2. based on one of the tutorials and using your project brief as a guide, develop a webpage mockup in photoshop using your own images and text (you may use images downloaded from the internet)
3. save the completed file as mock_up.jpg
4. show files to professor or tutor
