Exercise: Grid Layout for Magazine Spread

You will be creating a two-page spread for a magazine.
The copy, graphics and layout are provided in the links below.
• Layout to recreate

• Graphic

This assignment will require you to know some of the functions in Indesign
to create this two page layout.
What you need to know and how to do it:
• Setting up an Indesign document
• Setting up a grid
• How to Import Text (pdf)
• How to Manage Text Flow (pdf)
• Import a graphic (simple)
• Import a graphic (more indepth tutorial)
• How to Transform an Object (pdf)

Follow the given layout as closely as possible.
Fonts used are Myriad Pro for the body copy and
Times for the headlines. You may use other fonts if you choose.
