How to Create a PDF file with Composites and with Color Separations

Step 1: Create a pdf file with marks and bleeds for your composite proof

Step 2: Follow the instructions below to "Print to a PDF file" to create color separations.

Step 3: Create a multiple page single pdf file by combining your two different pdf files which you just generated.

Be sure to name the files generated by step one and step two, tow different names so one file doesn't overwrite the other.

File > Print
Setup: Select Scale to Fit
Marks and Bleeds: Select All Printers Marks and Use Document Bleed Settings
Output: Select Output Color Separations > Then “Print” This will save your files as a pdf. It will automatically name your file the same name as the “indd” with .pdf added as a suffix and file indentifier.
