Layer-use tutorial

 

You can reorganize elements in your file through the layers window as you are going to see in this tutorial.

First you should be fairly familair with the layer's icons:

  layers use 1   layers use 2  
The layer called "purple" is completely selected icon The layer called "purple" is completely selected
       
  layer use 3   layer use 4  
  Some elements inside the layer called "purple" are selected icon2 "Open the layer" to see the content organized in "mini-layers"  
       
  layer use 5   layer use 6  
  You can drag an element from one layer to another by dragging the little icon
in the layer's window, from one layer into another one icon-drag		 Now the circle is in the red layer, which is UNDERNEATH the red layers
(layers have a stacking order reflecting the position, Lower/Upper, in the layer's window)
