It will be very helpful for you to go to Second Life and place your mouse over WHAT IS SECOND LIFE?. Check out each of the links.

Then go to the QUICK START GUIDE page.
This will give you a very complete overview of the SL viewer 2.0 that you will be using to access SL. It will help to have SL open as you go through the tutorial.

Copy and paste the SLurl (Second Life URL) into the address bar of your browser

This is how you use the SLURL:
1. Open Second life and login.
2. Copy and paste the slurl into the address bar of your browser
3. Click on orange Visit this Location button on the slurl page or it might say -Teleport now.
4. Go to Second Life and the Inventory window will appear on the right side of the SL viewer.
5. Select Teleport at the bottom of the panel.
6. You will be transported to the destination.
After you have visited the Orientation Island feel free to visit our SBCC classroom in SL.
