Assignment: Weird Combinations
Grading: 100 points (see rubric below)
It's always fun seeing the odd combinations of things that people are buying in the express checkout in the grocery store; some really odd combinations that can get your imagination stirring.
1. Create a "bugs" list of things you would like to see fixed with a new invention, such as, how to get the very last drop of tooth paste out of the tube (reread Bugs List).
Take some time to think about how people eat, walk, dress etc as you develop your list.
Do not limit yourself to human products.
Your list must have a minimum of 10 "bugs".
2. Choose one "bug" and create a new invention to solve your "bug" by
merging TWO existing objects.
3. Create a visual of the new object/product
You may draw the new product and scan it, or actually make the new product and photograph it.
4. Name the new invention.
5. Describe what it does.
(#'s 2, 3, and 4 should be typed into the Discussion box)
6. Upload a jpg file labeled lastname_combo.jpg to the Discussion.
Be as weird (creative) as you can and have FUN!
