SOCIAL Cause Poster Critique

What you will upload to the scanned Forum:
- Please type the Social Cause and it's web site you have chosen.
- Describe the concept you will use for your social cause poster in this section.
This information will come from the Design Brief research and thumbnails.
Discuss why you feel this concept is the best.
Will this concept be a challenge to develop?
How will you develop it?
- Choose FOUR (of 8) of your best concept designs from your thumbnails
and save as one jpg file and upload.
- Critique at least 2 of your classmates thumbnails using design vocabulary and principles.
Also discuss whether you feel the concept works.
Sharing information helps the creative process.
Another student's comments may spark something different for you that
you may not have thought of or it may just be a validation that you are on the right track!
The objective is for you to promote the website of your cause by developing a
non-literal concept design using the tag line/phrase and images you choose.
This must be completed before you begin to do the final design and is part of your grade.
Process:-
Create an Indesign file for #1 - 4 and export as one PDF to upload to this forum.
1. Design Brief - This research will help you create a substantial Design Brief.
2. Brainstorming - minimum of 20 related things
3. Type - minimum of 15 typeface examples and why you have chosen the font(s).
4. Thumbnails Create a minimum of 8 thumbnail sketches using paper and pencil.
Begin each thumbnail with a grid to help with placement. Use a box for your image.
Scan thumbnails and save as a jpg file.
Thumbnails MUST be proportional and easy to understand the images and concept.
NO chicken scratches. Place scanned jpg file(s) in the Indesign document.
Choose four of your best thumbnails and save as another jpg file to upload
to this forum.
