Assignment: Type Personality

Letterforms have a design and style all their own. They are unique in shape, presentation and carry individualistic qualities that can be translated as mood in right application. For instance the difference between a "V" and an "O" is quite substantial, as the "V" is more violent and sharp, while the "O" is softer and more easy going.Your task today is to define the following people as letters with in a particular font.

1. A serial killer
2. The first "John" you may think of
3. A plumber
4. The president of a company
5. A drill sargeant
6. A jounior high gym teacher
7. Your boss
8. YOU CHOOSE this one!

1. Choose a font that best represents the person and then a specific letter within that font. Try the ESPERFONTO site to help find the font and/or Google "fonts" or "free fonts" to find a gazillion places to see other font houses and use the RESCOURSES links on the Lecture page.

2. Copy the image of the Font Family with all the characters and place the image in the discussion area.

3. Below the placed image type the person, the name of the font you have chosen, the letter that best represents the person and tell us why the font and letter represent that person.

4. After you post, you will beable to see the other students work. Review their work and comment on TWO other students choices. Do you agree, disagree, and why.
