Once your selection has been placed on an independent layer, it can be saved on a compressed format for the web "without a background".
This way the background of the page will be seen as the background for the image.

A Gif (limited color palette) can set ONE of its colors to not be represented on screen, giving the illusion of a transparent background .

Because GIFS have a limited palette of colors and only 1 is set to "not being visible", the cut of the image is going to look pretty rough.
we should include the color of your WEB PAGE's BACKGROUND as one of the colors in the gif-palette so the cut appears invisible.
The color of the future webpage ends the visible shape of our gif.
